Dilrang Academy Of Music and Fine Arts is a public trust dedicated to promotion of Indian music and fine arts. Since its inception in 1995, the Academy has so far organised more than 35 successful musical events in the form of concerts, ghazal, evenings mushairas and kavi sammelans besides felcitating leading lights of lndian classical scene.

The objectives of the Academy are to encourage, promote and sustain the music ‘parampara’ of Indian classical music by conducting kavi sammelans, concerts mushairas, contests, seminars, felicitations etc while inculcating the values and traditions of our rich heritage among the youngsters. We also provide scholarships to learn music to deserving students conduct research and spread knowledge and information among the young and also help getting expert training to those who are in need of. We have also instituted a Dilrang Music Award for the deserving and upcoming musicians as well as Life Time Achievement Award to the senior musicians.

We plan to build an Auditorium exclusively for the classical music and fine arts and are in the look out for a suitable land admeasuring about 3,000 – 4,000 sq. ft. from the state government or private bodies who love music. When it materialises, a music college can also be instituted in its premises.

In order to retain and sustain the glorious traditions of various gharanas of India we hold every year (during November / December) music programmes under the name ‘Parampara’ at highly acclaimed auditoria such as NCPA, Y B Chavan Centre, Nehru Centre etc. A two day concert involving leading maestros would cost approximate Rs. 7 lakhs while a one day Urdu mushaira, Hasya Kavi Samrnelans, or Music contest would incur around Rs. 2.25 lakhs.

We earnestly appeal to all music lovers to come forward and help us in realising this noble cause by providing financial sponsorship either fully or partial. The breakup of total expenses can be provided on demand.

This year we plan to bring out a collection of memoirs and autobiographical writings of Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan of Atrauli – Jaipur, Khurja and Agra Gharana, a maestro who does not need any introduction. This collection will also contain music compositions of Miyan Mohammad Hussain ‘Tansen’, Hazrat Amir Khusrau, Ustad Zahoor Baksh Khan ‘Rarndas’, Ustad Allahdiya Khan ‘Ahmed Piya’, Ustad Mehboob Khan ‘Daraspiya’, Ustad Tanras Khan and many others. We are certain that it would be a Collector’s Item when released. This 400 and odd pages book alone is estimated to cost us about Rs. 3 lakhs. This will be released during the three day Birth Centenary Celebrations of Legendary Gayan Samrat Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan Dilrang, starting from March 5, 2011. This programme is estimated to cost around Rs. 25 lakhs.

We appeal to your generous self to come forward and assist us with a suitable sponsorship and contributions so that the future generations of music lovers will also be benefited while the present one is entertained.

All financial contributions and sponsorships are eligible for IT Exemption under 80-G of IT Act (Read IT Exemption Certificate). We shall be highly grateful if any clarifications or explanations are needed in this connection.

We plan to hold a series of thematic concerts with links to the bandishes associated with Miyan Dilrang and other Gharana stalwarts , lecture demonstration and other Such events. We also plan to uphold his musical legacy By teaching traditional Gayaki to younger musicians Dilrang Academy (DAMFA) Almost entire by depends On support from individuals, Trusts Government And semi-Government bodies, corporate houses besides music Lovers in general. The various facets and projects of the Academy are designed to meet the needs of music students teachers, Musicians, researchers and music lovers.
